Crazy Americans!

Was on my way home from school just the other day, like every other day, yet unlike other days...
You will never be able to guess what these people are queuing up for, what with sleeping bags, field chairs etc...

Aint about to spoil the fun here, will reveal what it is at a later time, when i join them to queue! Moving on to my next story, which is also unlike other days, I saw these two dudes with crazy rides! The engine roars like a lawn mower.

Went up to ask them about it, and one thing led to the next, and before you know it, I got invited to dinner 2 days later!
Two days later, in what would essentially be a san diego home visit
Funny people. Told them how "crazy american"s they looked like on their rides, got a pretty shocking response from them! His friends actually told him how he was like a crazy asian. Apparently, americans here are normal. Asians are the crazy ones here.

USA Neighbourhood Pasar Malam

People here conduct a mini pasar malam every time they have excess trash to clear.
To get to a yard sale, you basically drive around in random neighbourhoods, and look out for brightly colored, handwritten signs that shouts "YARD SALE THIS WAY---->"
Trash-sures galore!

There are some cool deals though.
Landlord got his blue volkswagon from a yard sale. Cool huh!

HoLLyWood!!!

Hollywood!!! YAhoooo!!!
Before that though, I had a bad haircut recently. It was expected, so nothing surprising. Just to pre-empt everyone, in case you get a shock.
Those were the happier times.
After...
You know something's wrong when the pictures you take are nicer than the postcards on sale here
There's no way one can get up close to the hollywood sign. Trust me.
Those with their own transport drive around the neighbourhood to try to get a view of it.
See the tower beside the sign?

It shouts out warnings to people who try to hike up to the hollywood sign. "Get back down now or you may face arrest". Yea, that's what it blasted out when we hiked up! This was the closest I could get to. Didnt zoom this camera at all. Totally worth it though, the view was breathtaking!!!! An experience that will never be forgotten
Apparently, a check on wiki shows that  a "$100,000 security system featuring video surveillance and motion detection" was installed to prevent vandalism of the sign
No trespassers for good reason too.
The streets of hollywood. It's like a extended version of orchard road, with attractions lined up on both sides, with stars engraved on the pavement.

All sorts of people line the streets here.

Crazy street buskers

Went into Madame Tussad's wax museum. Spot the Ironman
Love the quote.
Those wax figures look fine, that is, until we entered...
